Claire Carton brings 17 years’ experience in user experience, content development, and digital marketing and advertising to her clients’ projects. Her passion is understanding the core goals of an organization and translating those goals into actionable digital strategies.

Outside of her work as an independent consultant, Claire has worked for several successful traditional and new-media agencies over the years on a variety of projects, most recently serving as senior digital strategist at r2integrated in Baltimore. At r2i, Claire developed strategies for award-winning websites for such clients as the National Endowment for Financial Education, Moodlerooms, Patheon Pharmaceuticals, DeVry University, American Military University, Sylvan Learning, Patton Boggs LLP, and Aramark, among others.

Claire’s previous clients have included Johns Hopkins, Gore-Tex™, US Oncology, UMBC, Goucher College, AIPAC, DuPont, STX Lacrosse, Maryland Institute College of Art, Calvert Socially Responsible Investments, Bloomberg School of Public Health, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, College of Notre Dame, DeustcheBank, Maryland China, US Department of Health and Human Services, the Ad Council, and many other national and global companies, organizations, and institutions.

Claire graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English from the University of Baltimore, where she has also taught digital project management for the University’s graduate information design program. She has been published in a variety of literary magazines, including the Mississippi Review, and written for a number of business publications and web publications focused on online marketing
